SIGGRAPH 96

Clark Dodsworth conceived and co-produced the Digital Bayou at SIGGRAPH 96, New Orleans. It was a themed 50,000 square-foot showcase of emerging and pre-competitive interface technologies. The venue had 49 exhibits, including eight haptic systems, 40 video projectors, switched live feeds from the exhibits to three flown Barco projection systems, 12 stereoscopic displays (several immersive), 34 3D virtual environments (17 with avatars), three innovative audio interfaces, 20,000 square feet of fishing net, a multi-human-scale turntable, and 2,000 linear feet of flame-retardant Spanish moss.
